IMPORTANT MESSAGES

(The most recent messages are at the top.)

[17 August]:  The tightened COVID-19 restrictions announced today by the Department of Education mean that matches between schools not in the same local community area or zone (as defined by the Department) can no longer take place. (See the Department's website https://education.nsw.gov.au/covid-19/advice-for-families#%3Cstrong%3ESchool2). Please check your area or zone (generally the Department's sports zone – see the above link) to determine which of your matches can take place. For any that are not allowed please contact the opposing school to cancel the match, and let us know (either by recording the match result as a double forfeit or by advising your zone scorer). The new restrictions mean that, unless there is a relaxation next term, there will be no finals.

[22 July]:  The draw for St George-Sutherland Zone is now available.

[20 July]:  The competition material (booklets, etc.) has been posted to the schools in the weekly home-and-away zones. (The material for schools in the one-day zones will be sent when their days have been scheduled.)

[19 July]:  The draws for all zones held in weekly home-and-away format are now available, except for St George-Sutherland Zone. The zones to be held in one-day format will be scheduled later in third term and their draws will be prepared shortly before they are held.

The disruption caused by COVID-19 has not only delayed the start of this year's competition but has also deterred many schools and players from taking part. As a result there are fewer teams and therefore fewer divisions than in recent years. In addition, division sizes have had to be limited to ensure the divisions are completed in third term to leave fourth term for the finals.

Note that some zones have been merged Strathfield Zone has been merged into Inner Western Zone; Ryde Zone has been merged into Hills Zone; and Nepean Zone has been merged into Blacktown Zone.
